Well, we are now three weeks into the new school year. And what a 3 weeks they have been. Now what to talk about and where to begin!
We started back at school to try and improve on our social skills and to try and make friends in the area. Sometimes Jamie gets a bit lonely all on his own so getting to meet new people is good. Only trouble is Jamie doesn’t like meeting new people. This was a bit of a problem.
For quite a while Jamie has relied on me as his main form of friendship and companionship at times even exclusively so. I know that Jamie likes this as he know that I am reliable, wont hurt him and am constant. I change very little and even when I do change it really upsets Jamie. Although this friendship is good sometimes Jamie gets lonely and there is little I can do to make him feel any better. For a while Jamie filled this gap with other plushies (mostly “lions but of course not Lions) but people kept on saying that what Jamie and I needed was to meet new people in our area.
At huish, there are a lot of people. I know this from the sound of they make, even in my bag I can still hear them there are that many. This means there are al sorts of people there. The lady in student support, and alun have told us that we should be able to find other people like us there. So we went on a bit of a search. An We even found a whole group of them.
Although the little group seems to be different everyone is rather geeky. Though none of them have plushie friends they all seem very lion friendly. Infact everyone I have met so far seem to be quite lion friendly. This group has a task that they are putting their brains and free times too. They are building a rocket propelled chainsaw. But from the ground up!
Jamie was helping in the design and likes to be with these people. He is glad he has found some new friends and I am glad that I am no longer his only friend. Jamie is very worried and scared that he may not understand these people. Or that he accidentally destroys the friendship. But I think things should go okay. If the worse happens, there are lots of other people.
